US Signs Sweeping Greenland Security Deal, Drops Annexation Talk

Trump, Denmark's Mette Frederiksen and Greenland's Jens-Frederik Nielsen signed a security pact at the UN this week that hands the US new bases and near-unrestricted military access to the island, in exchange for a formal promise that annexation is off the table.
